YESSSSS, Ive completed the 2014 CSCC

Im pleased to announce that with 7 hours left of the year & an emergency trip to Hobbycraft to buy the last bit of floss, IVE DONE IT :0)
So pleased, its only taken me 3 attempts to complete this challenge & it all begins again tomorrow for 2015, bring it on!!

Cant believe it, I'm about 30 stitches away from completing the CSCC for the 1st time ever & Ive ran out of floss!!!!! Emergency Ebay order sent, just praying it arrives before the end of the year!!!

Snow update

Ive stitched 3 of the snow colours, there are 3 more to go.......Who knew snow was so multi coloured :0)

Haven't done much stitching recently but, have finally finished all of the 2nd page of Victorian Christmas, apart from the snow!!  There's a lot of snow to go, will I be able to finish it by the end of the year, the race is on!!

Finished this a few days ago but, couldnt post as the BF was prowling!!

Am so happy this is done, now I can just relax & stitch at my pace, not looking at the xmas countdown clock all the time

This is driving me nuts now!!! I have 1 last colour to go on my last Doctor Who but, have no secret stitching time (while the BF isnt around to see) til next weekend......Its sitting in my basket, just in front of me & I cant finish it :0(

Doctor 11

Havent done any stitching on Victorian Xmas yet this week but, have completed Doctor number 11, just 1 more to go. This will be completed in time for the BFs xmas pressie :0)

Week 3 Victorian xmas

Was rather amused when I took this photo. Sitting next to it in the photo album was this other photo taken a year ago today, guess there is quite a bit of progress. Was getting a bit worried I wouldnt manage to finish all the snow in time but, this is proof I can, I managed last year :0)

Doing the Happy Dance tonight. Have been looking for this kit for ages (have the chart already but, as its Designer Stitches, wanted the kit to get the floss colours just right) & I found it online at a very nice price :0)

Victorian xmas update

Well, this is how we look after another weeks worth of stitching, would have been more but, also working on the next Doctor Who face, will post that one when he done

The New, once weekly, Victorian Christmas update

Am running out of things to stitch in the CSCC so, rather than boring you with the same thing, Im only going to post an update on this one once a week. Have stitched the top half of the purple lady & the newest window to the right this week.

Am also still stitching on the last piece (The Many Faces of Doctor Who) but, that is slow going as Im obviously trying to keep that one a secret from the BF :0)

Aries is all done, enjoyed stitching this one especially as its my star sign.  12 down, 3 more to go, will I manage to complete the challenge this year??  The last 3 are 'The many faces of Doctor Who', 'The Geek commandments' & another page of 'Victorian Christmas', all 3 of these are well on their way so, its looking hopeful :0)

Have finished the main central stitching on Aries now, just need to complete all of the stars & the small border inbetween the blues.......Still hoping this will be finished by the end of the month, watch this space :0)

7 hours of Aries later!!

Got a good 7 hours of stitchy time on Aries today but, didnt get as far as Id hoped.....there was a lot of colour changes.  Have tomorrow morn off work & Sat too so, still hoping theres a chance to get this finished before the end of the month, cross fingers :0)

A bit more Aries

Have done a little bit of this over the last few days. Hoping to get a lot more done tomorow, its my official day off work :0)

Have picked up 'Aries' again today. Hopefully will get it finished by the end of the month, then that only leaves me 3 more to go, one for each remaining month of the year. If things go to plan, there is a chance I will actually finish the CSCC this year :)

Theres no prizes for guessing what this piccie is going to be......Tribal Mickey finished YEYYY.  Loved stitching this piece once I got into it & really happy with the result.  Wish you could all see the gorgeous hand dyed evenweave this is stitched on but, for some reason, my camera doesnt like photographing it!!

Mickey is coming along nicely. Have put down the Doctors & have been stitching on this one this weekend (BF was off for the weekend so, couldnt do the Docs). Really pleased with how its stitching up.

A festive skirt!!

One of the ladies in the CSCC 2015 has decided to add Victorian Christmas to their list so, I got a bit inspired & stitched the large purple skirt on the right hand side on mine :)

CSCC 2014/2015 re sort!!

Due to there being far to many projects I want to stitch in my life time & Jenn & Mel putting up the 2015 CSCC group already (Im not moaning, honest) am having to have a re think of my projects for the challenge.
Have just about sorted it now, I think.
Tribal Mickey is now back in 2014 & Janlynn Castle/Dragon is swapped into 2015.
Hobbit is out of 2015 & def replaced by the Epic Mario piece.
Also having to chuck out Wreck it Ralph.
Ive still got 16 but, Im sure I can manage to squeeze 1 extra 1 in.

Having a little bit of a celebration at the mo. Have just managed to complete Doctor 6 (well 10) & the BF is still totally in the dark about what Im stitching for him. Im half way there YEYYY

Have just added one more boy to Victorian Christmas (so his friend wasnt lonely). Going to put it down for a bit now & get on with some more Geeky stitching........Am getting withdrawal symptoms!!!

2 new Geek Commandments

Was really getting fed up with Victorian Xmas after the christmas tree hassle so, did a bit of stitching on this one instead.  Will go back to christmas tomorrow :)

Not feeling the festive spirit anymore, Bah Humbug!!

Well, we now have a christmas tree but, that was the most unenjoyable stitching Ive done in a long time. 2 of the symbols were pretty much identical on the same coloured background. Had to check nearly all the chart, stitch by stitch, with a magnifying glass......Bah Humbug again!!

Wasnt too sure what to stitch next but, for some unknown reason, the festive spirit took hold a tad early so, I dug out Victorian Xmas & stitched the boy with the brown jacket

Hello Doctor 2

Have finally managed to complete the 2nd Doctor Who face.  Has been so hard to secretly stitch on this as BF has been on holiday for the last 2 weeks!!!!

Was given a beautiful gift today, while at work, from the husband of a friend whom recently passed away. I got her cross stitching so, he thought it fitting to pass her unused stash to me. I will stitch & remember x

Boring Blue Update!!!!

Have managed to get enough sneaky stitching time in to complete the 1st doctors face, love the colours in it. BF is on holiday now for 2 weeks so, doubt I will get anymore done on this in the next fortnight though :0(

Really happy, have managed to complete all the backgrounds on 'The Many Faces Of Doctor Who' without the BF seeing what Im stitching for him. Going to try & get one of the faces done by the end of the week but, that depends on how much sneaky stitching time I can squeeze in while he's out!!!

Very pleased Ive got this one finished (Battlestar Galactica), its for the BFs birthday at the end of May so, gives me plenty of time to sort out framing.
Wasnt too pleased with some of the colours, they were way to subtle so, added a bit of 1 strand x stitch to the bits I thought wernt showing enough. Also backstitched around the word 'battlestar' to make that pop out of the fabby a bit better.
Oh yeah, erm, more new stash too. I could not resist the 'Welcome Home Doggie Dance' my 2 pups do this for me every day. Was designed & customised for me by a very lovely lady on Facebook :0)
